FlexArmor doesn’t require any special maintenance to keep your RV in great shape or to keep your warranty in effect.

You do not have to caulk your roof or apply special cleaners or conditioners on the FlexArmor RV roof system.

Your RV should be in the shop for approximately 2.5 days, provided no additional RV repairs or other work are needed.

Yes! FlexArmor comes with a lifetime, transferable no-leak warranty. The warranty covers product and installation. The warranty is backed by any of the nationwide locations; you do not need to return to your original applicator. You can read the warranty here.

Because it is non-porous, it also resists stains and mildew. You can use most standard household cleaners on a FlexArmor roof. The system has very high chemical resistance and is not affected by typical cleaning products, including diluted bleach.

The surface resists buildup; however, environmental conditions such as shade, moisture, or airborne contaminants can occasionally cause a light surface film or discoloration. If this occurs, it is cosmetic only and can be easily cleaned with routine washing.

No. This roof system was designed to eliminate all caulking joints and seams on an RV roof. With no exposed screws or joints, the chemical bond of the FlexArmor system completely removes the need for caulking.

No. FlexArmor is a combination of pure polyurea and 4 other products, with a proprietary process designed exclusively for RVs. Unlike less expensive hybrid coatings such as bedliners, Rhino, or Linex, Armorthane and Apex Armor, FlexArmor’s pure polyurea provides superior flexibility, consistent curing quality, temperature tolerance, and UV resistance.

FlexArmor is applied indoors in a fixed, controlled environment. It requires specially trained applicators and professional equipment. Because of the amount of equipment involved and the risk of overspray, application must be done indoors. This allows us to safely remove components like AC units and vent lids and protects your RV from weather-related damage during installation.

We replace all vent pipes and lids, refrigerator bases and lids, standard vent lids, install new Camco vent covers, and install new AC gaskets during installation. These components are sealed under the FlexArmor coating and are designed to last as long as the roof.

If you ever need to replace or add components (such as solar panels), we can remove the component, install the new one, and respray the affected area. If you are not near a FlexArmor facility, the coating can be cut or ground through, the part replaced, and temporarily caulked until respraying can be done at an approved FlexArmor location.

FlexArmor has over 600% elongation, allowing it to move with your RV during travel and temperature changes. It has a tear strength of over 3,500 PSI, making it extremely resistant to punctures and tears. The roof is approximately 187 mils (3/16 of an inch) thick.

Final texture varies by application. Roof substrates, roof components, and spraying around fixtures can affect the final appearance. While we do a final pass to achieve the smoothest finish possible, no two roofs will look exactly the same. The texture is typically comparable to fiberglass roofs. Any “pitting” is shallow and slightly bumpy—not rough—and has not caused issues with dirt or debris buildup.

This can depend on the type of roof you currently have on your RV. EPDM rubber roofs are designed with a white layer and a black layer. Once you start to see the black, you are entering into the time to replace.

For all rv roofs, cracks, tears or shrinkage are indicators the roof is starting to fail and needs to be replaced.

There can be a wide range of costs, depending on the type of roof you have and where you have it done. An EPDM, TPO or other type membrane roof can range from $100 a foot to $400 a foot. Dealerships will be on the upper end of the range, mobile mechanics on the lower end. Fiberglass ranges from $400-$600 a foot and many times cannot be replaced, it requires a full roof assembly to be installed, $30,000-$40,000.

Repaired, maybe but once water is trapped, it will continue to rot. This is why most repairs fail and it would have been less expensive to replace the roof. And most repairs are tapes or caulk, which will fail over time.

On a Flexarmor roof, hail does not damage it. On other rv roofs, it can puncture it or put micro cuts in the material leading to small damaging leaks. With traditional rv roofs, replacement is the only way to make sure the roof won’t leak.

FlexArmor can replace any type of rv roof. Over our 21 years, we have developed a process for all situations.

A traditional membrane roof can last up to 20 years. The membrane is not usually the problem with RV roofs, it is the caulking that needs constant maintenance. These leak points are present in all traditional rv roofs including fiberglass and aluminum.

Flexarmor is designed to last 40-50 years depending on conditions and no caulking or seams to maintain.

Using rolled-on coatings on an rv roof does not fix any underlying damage or leak points. The only useful thing about coatings is providing a UV layer to extend the life of caulking and membranes. If you are having issues, replacement is the better option.

You cannot stay inside your RV while having a FlexArmor roof installed. We are removing all your components and wrapping the RV in plastic.

We do not offer financing at this time.
